Hold yourself accountable for things.
This is the situation: My grades from college were due a week ago…well…after much delay they were finally released, etc. BUT BUT BUT one of my professors decided that he was above the law and didn’t record the grades for the ENTIRE class. So this means I have a big fat NR on my grade report and an incomplete record with the registrar for this quarter. So obv I am pissed and upset. So i spent a ton of time on the phone with some bitch at the office and she tried to make it my fault…which it isn’t. I earned an A+ in the course and was finished with it before exams even started…so not my fault…esp when the whole class doesn’t have grades. I also realize that its not exactlty here fault either…but FACULTY NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR JOB/ACTIONS/ETC. So….when grades are due and a professor does not turn them in…I would only think/hope/whatever that the registrar’s office is concerned and gets on the phone to try and see what the hell is up. But nope, not where I go to school.
So now it is a waiting game. That professor may be spending the whole summer being drunk at his home in Massachusetts…or he could bust his balls, do his job, and report my grades. SOB!
So…I could potentially be left off of the dean’s list for this quarter because he didn’t turn them in in time. BARGLE. If that’s the case…fear the wrath of crouts.

Its been so so long, but I am finally getting around to updating. Its more out of boredom than anything. Summer sucks for me for a multitude of reasons. I am at home…with the rents…living here away from school, friends, fun, etc. I don’t have a social life and I am already going insaine. I don’t know how I am going to go another two months! Lots of emergency trips to Athens are in store.
On another note, I have started my internship. I love it so far. I have just been watching for now…which is fine and needs to be done…but I really want to start doing things. Seeing how a REAL newsroom and production takes place has definately inspired me. I know this is what I want to do. Its exciting…no day is the same, etc. For instance…on my first day there was a plane crash that sent the newsroom into breaking news mode and sparked a lot of excitement. It was neat to see and be a part of. I want to be a producer now I have decided. Its much more up my alley than being a reporter and infront of the camera.
I have also been working at the greenhouse again. Although they aren’t giving me a whole lot of hours and i am not on the schedule. It kinda bums me out. I was excited to go back there and work…and I NEED the money. I am poor right now and I dont like it one bit. Boo!. Nonetheless I am harassing them to give me hours in the blistering heat doing stupid stuff. Why do I keep that job?!?!?!
I have successfully moved back home from school and I made the transition quickly and easily. I put away all of my stuff and stowed it away for the fall. I just really want to keep busy with the internship and the working so i can stay busy, out of trouble, not spend money, and make some.
I will be leaving this Sunday morning EARLY for Asheville, NC. I am going with my family on vacation to Biltmore area and doing that as well as some of the nature things.
That will take up some time…and then it will be the fourth of July time when I get back. Hard to believe that so soon, but I am excited. I love the fourth…and then summer will be progressing nicely. I will maybe pick up a few more days at the internship to keep me busy and do some freelance landscape work. I have a client I could work for now, so I think i will take advantage of that so I have some income.
Well buddies…thats it for now…I’ll update when I get back from vaca.
PS: You should alllllll check out the NEW COLDPLAY ALBUM: Viva la Vida. It is amazing and I am a fan!
PPS: I am still in love with DC…and I am trying to intern there next summer. More to come…wish me luck.

I am back from my weekend trip to Washington, D.C. It was fab. I loved it. Had a great time with my friends in the city…and I especially loved the metro. I am somewhat obsessed with it. Check out all of my 6 albums (330 pictures) on facebook from the trip. We did a lot of walking and a lot of sightseeing.
We stopped at the capitol building (inside tour), botanical garden, washington mon, white house, the smith, the aquarium, national archives, china town, etc etc etc. It was a great trip - and I got to see a ton. I wish i could have seen more though…only so much of that HUGE city you can see in a days time.
I really enjoyed my trip, I scoped out a cool neighbor hood I would live in, and now I am looking at interning there sometime soon. LOVED IT!
School is almost done for the year…I’ll blog more when I get settled back at home.

OR BUST!
I leave Friday morning for the nation’s capitol and I couldn’t be more excited. It should be a good time.
I’m riding down with a group of my good friends from the College Democrats (16 of us total going). Plus, my friend is driving me and another one of my friends. Singing along with music for the six hour drive in the back seat should be an experience.
I am looking forward to the metro, the national mall, monuments, museums, shopping, nightlife, etc.
And there is the possibility of a hotel party (and swimming!!!!!!!!!!).
I am totally stoked! So…if you’re in the area, hit me up. Otherwise…I’ll post pics for the rest of you all to be jealous over!

but I’ve been really busy. School is to the end of the year, which mean ridiculous amounts of work…and time.
I’ve also been away a few weeekends lately, which also makes things difficult.
Add working to the mix and you’ll get no time.
So…I’ll do my best to update as/when I can. Stay tuned, Im still here.
I’ll be in D.C. the last weekend in May…so expect an update then!

Porch party time. I love spring time on a college campus. The warm weather spawns socializing. I love it. so many fun nights. Its great!
And…I am enjoying my time here before we all split and go our separate ways over summer. Spending the little time we have left together is important. And…we are all having a good time.
I just love being out and about and seeing people and just stopping for a conversation or going along with them on a spontaneous trip. its fun…and never happens in the winter!
I think thats all for now.

And spring are my two favorite things right now. Last night I went to a cookout and ended up staying there with just 3 other people. I bonded with them pretty well…and as random as it was, it was wonderful.
I love not having a set plan for the night, but having plenty of options. The night just flowed. So fun. We ate, drank, i played with a pet bunny rabbit and we chatted and played games. It was good.
Then I left there and went to another friend’s place and stayed there for a while. The evening was grand. yesterday was a wonderful spring Friday…and I’m in love.
This morning I woke up and went to an event to do an assignment. I walked through campus on the way back and just took in the beauty. Everything is in bloom and the pollen is so much that it is turning the cars yellow. Its not doing good things for my allergies, but it is wonderful to look at.
I noticed so many changes…and I appreciate how much better EVERYTHING is when the weather is nice and things are alive. Spring is soooooo much better after a rough winter. This could be my favorite spring ever! seriously!
There is so much life and energy and I love it.
This afternoon I went with Xana to pet doggies at the pet store and then we got Chinese food. I am in my room right now chilling and trying to get some stuff done while she and Jummons go watch a movie. It is the Athens Film Fest this weekend - so plenty of options.
I am going to go back to Midge this evening and chill. I am going to bring the lappers to chill and hang out and such. should be fun. but, I have so much to do. I am happy about it though.
GO and enjoy spring. That’s all for now.

I don’t normally send out e-mails to brag about myself…but this is kind of a big deal. Too big not to pass along. Hope you find it interesting.
Today (Wednesday) I was sitting in our newsroom here at school working my regular shift at WOUB News. I knew that the newsroom had been dedicated yesterday and was aware that Roger Ailes was in town. However, I figured that by the time that I would get in there today, he would no longer be around…although we were advised to look nice and be prepared for his appearance at any time.
So…I was sitting at my computer station working on a story and preparing for my newscast when all of the sudden, Roger Ailes just walked in and sat next to me. The dean of my college was also there and were both sitting RIGHT next to me. There was a large posse with him, but he was right next to ME. I went about my business and tried not to be too shocked that such a huge name was right there. Eventually we all introduced ourselves to each other and he just sat and watched all of us work and carried on conversations with the newsroom staff for a good 30-45 mins. I couldn’t believe it.
Now, you all know that I am a CNN junkie…and haven’t been a huge fan of FOX News. I still remain a CNN fan, but I have to be appreciative of what Roger did for us here at OU and Scripps. Our new newsroom is amazing and such a tool for me. I’m really glad that he donated the funds that ultimately helps further my education.
Anyhow, here are a few links for you to check out regarding this story:

Is here!!!! I am sooo happy. I have been making some significant changes in my life recently to change the way I operate. It has helped a lot with my depression problem. So, now for the most part, I am feeling better. I am happy again…and enjoying the weather. Nature is absolutely amazing right now, and I am glad that I am able to get out, walk to class every day and enjoy the sights and sounds. Amazing.
This past weekend was one that was better than most I have had for a long while. It really cheered me up.
I am back in the busy stage of my life…and after this week I will be busy non-stop until the end of the quarter. That;s a good thing cuz it will keep me occupied and make the time go by. I can’t wait.
I am cheered up again, happy, and enjoying everything again.
